Howdy everyone! I am just stopping in for a quick but very exciting announcement! I am so thrilled to announce that I am now a Design Team Member for the Craftin Desert Divas Digi Team! I am so excited to be joining such an wonderful company with amazing products as well as a fantastic team of very talented ladies! I of course will still be on the Word Art Wednesday Design Team so now you will be seeing even more of me, lol!
As you all know I had surgery earlier this week, so I won't be posting any crafty goodness for Craftin Desert Divas or Word Art Wednesday until I am cleared from my doctor but I am hopeful I will be cleared in the next 2 weeks. Doctors said the surgery went well on their end and now it's just up to my body to decide how it wants to heal. Of course my body and I have had a talk, lol! I have had way more pain than expected and moving around like a snail but things are getting better each day :) I cannot say thank you enough to all of you who have sent me messages and who have kept me in your prayers! It is so thoughtful and sweet of you! Thank you!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #211 & Update...

Before I share my creation with you, I wanted to let you all know that I will be having surgery and therefore will be taking some time away from my blog and Design Team duties. Currently it is looking like it will be about a month long break but if I'm feeling well enough I will be back sooner ;) It's hard to keep me from my crafting, lol! While I'm away you can still play along in the Word Art Wednesday Challenges so be sure to visit their blog each week!
Now for my card today I was blessed to be given a super duper adorable image from one of this week's sponsors, Image That. The image is called Red Nose Reindeer and I just can't get over how cute it is!! I adhered all my layers to a 5 ½” x 5 ½” square side fold card base. I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the top as well as some Wink of Stella to the antlers, holly berries, bells, hooves, and his nose. For the music notes and the stamping on the inside I used a stamp set called Rudy from Craftin Desert Divas. Of course to finish my card, I stamped and decorated the back of my card as always ;) I am sure you all probably spotted an error in my card... I totally forgot to color his tongue! Things like this is why my family says me being a natural blonde cannot be hid by a bottle of hair dye no matter how dark I go, lol! Silly me!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #210

I thought I would switch it up today and make a tag rather than a card. I took a white tag and embossed the leaves using clear embossing powder. Then using a distress took I swirled on 3 different colors of ink. After that I used a dry cloth to remove any ink that remained on the embossing. This allowed the white to shine through. I finished my tag with matching ribbon and adhered some pearls with Glossy Accents. Easy-peasy! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Have a fantastic day!

| Card Front - Side folding A2 size card - The card base is metallic so it has this really amazing sparkle to it and then I also used Wink of Stella on the image itself but unfortunately the camera didn't pick up the beauty of all the glitter :( I'm so bummed out at just how hard it is for sparkle to be picked up in photos! anyone else fave this dilemma? |
